The Hornet is Honda’s best reply to Yamaha FZ and the TVS Apache. The Hornet 160 a common sight along with the heady mix of commuter ergonomics, a frugal engine and contemporary styling which is almost as common as the Unicorn. Recognizing the successful stint in the 160cc segment, Honda Hornet came out of the BSVI transition point looking more appealing. Honda is calling it as Hornet 2.0, obviously has many special features.

The chassis and seat height remains almost same which is fairly easy and accessible 790mm.  The Hornet 2.0 provides better suspension comparing with its previous model.a slightly more give. The front and rear suspension travel is now graded at 118mm/115mm respectively, versus 117/113mm on the Hornet 160R. It offers a best riding experience even in the poor road conditions. The low-speed ride is more comfortable than before also the high-speed stability is far better in Honda Hornet 2.0. These improvements help the rider to handle the motorcycle more easily.

The Hornet turns into a corner with a lot more eagerness and feels like a sporty naked now instead of a commuter trying hard to catch up with its sportier competition. In fact, it is so sharp now that you will find the engine underpowered. It is one of those rare occasions where the engine just cannot catch up with the handling dynamics of the vehicle. Too bad Honda does not have larger engine options for this setup unlike say the single-cylinder KTM Duke family. The “2.0” creates an image that Honda Hornet has a 200cc offering. It shows a good midrange performance, so the travel will be more comfortable to you and the pillion.
